Article and Ezines  Directories allow you to post original articles on their sites with an ABOUT THE AUTHOR paragraph — that includes a link back to your website (a backlink).

Other people with websites and blogs may copy and post your article on their own website as long as it includes the ABOUT THE AUTHOR section with the backlink to your site.

In this way, your backlinks can start appearing on dozens and even hundreds of websites, all with the possibility the link will direct people back to your website.

Although this may not be the best resource for generating traffic back to your website — because the highest quality and most popular blogs and websites generally do not get their articles from these sites, for certain types of business, posting your articles on these sites may be helpful.
