Using Article Directories and eZines to Attract People to Your Website
An article directory is an Internet directory where people can post articles for use by other web marketers.
The reason someone would post an article on an article directory or a non-moderated ezine – an online magazine without an editor who screens articles to make sure they are original and of high quality – is so their article and links to their website (usually in the bio section of the article) will get posted on someone else’s website, hopefully helping their search engine rankings (by getting a backlink to their website from another site) and so people will be brought to their website from other websites where their article got posted.
However, Google and the other major search engines caught on to this trick and killed the value of unmoderated websites where no real editor assures the article is original and of high quality.
There are a few article directory websites that only accept original articles and can therefore generally help your rankings of you post to them. They include most of these:
1. ehow.com
2. examiner.com
3. hubpages.com
4. squidoo.com
5. ezinearticles.com
6. seekingalpha.com
7. technorati.com
8. apsense.com/article/start
9. goarticles.com
10. articlesbase.com
11. buzzle.com
12. textbroker.com
13. selfgrowth.com
14. biggerpockets.com/articles
15. sooperarticles.com
16. knoji.com/articles/
17. amazines.com
18. brighthub.com
19. thefreelibrary.com
20. triond.com
21. infobarrel.com
22. gather.com
23. articletrader.com
24. isnare.com
25. articlesnatch.com
26. articlecity.com
27. ezinemark.com
28. articlerich.com
29. artipot.com
30. suite.io
31. streetarticles.com
32. pubarticles.com
33. articlealley.com
34. articlesfactory.com
35. thewhir.com/find/articlecentral
36. articlecube.com
37. articledashboard.com
38. EvanCarmichael.com
39. upublish.info
40. informationbible.com
41. abcarticledirectory.com
42. articledirectoryusa.com
43. constant-content.com
44. submityourarticle.com/articles/ $
45. articles.org
46. articlecell.com
47. articlesphere.com
48. earticlesonline.com
49. web-source.net
50. selfseo.com
If you want to write an article for any of these sites, it should be 500-1,200 words, with original content, not duplicated anywhere else on the Internet, and of high enough quality that readers will be legitimately interested in the content.
Plenty of work goes into creating a valuable article for a site like this. However, if you think first that you want wide distribution of your ideas and information, using a legitimate moderated article directory or eZine could be a valuable way to attract new visitors to your website.
